POLITICS AS A CAREER

Career is a way by which a person makes his living over a significant period of his lifetime.....people usually ask young people in teenage what their ambition or career plan is. Any answer ranging from doctor to astronaut will be taken as normal. But, if any of the teen replies that he is going to take politics as a career, he’ll be viewed as a paranoid…..why is it like that???? What is the need for youngsters to enter politics????

POLITICS-A CAREER WHICH MOULDED LEADERS

Our nation witnessed politics in it’s grandeur in the Gandhian era….politics at that period developed selfless people devoting themselves to the freedom of the country and welfare of the nation……politicians across the nation from Kashmir to Kanyakumari stood together in their common aim and goal…that is the welfare of the nation….the then politicians were not only politicians but also the leaders of the nation…..they were role models for many…….

POLITICS-A PRESENT SCENARIO

One example is enough to explain the present political scenario in our nation. That is The vote of confidence that took place over the nuclear deal at the parliament……The people of India were silent audience to the political drama that unfolded both during the pre vote period and post vote period……Both the ruling party and the opposition party tried whatever it can to attract MPs to it’s side…..the MPs understood their precious value and utilized it in a perfect manner……one demanded a chief minister post, one demanded a post for his son and an another MP was ready to support a side just because that party named a building after his father…..the welfare of the nation was least taken in to consideration……the MPs and party leaders proved that they are purely politicians and not leaders of the nation……there is hardly any politician in the country to voice for the people……

POLITICS-IN NEED OF YOUNG BLOOD

When, even just a game of cricket needs young blood to retrieve its glory……why can’t politics??? Politics is in immediate need of a make over and for that young minds are the necessary raw materials…….people can argue that our politicians are experienced and know how to handle the nation and that young people can not manage it……..of course, I agree that our politicians are experienced….but, they are not only experienced in running the nation but also in corruption….they have known and enjoyed the fruits of corruption and bribery, that they are hesitating to come out of it……we need fresh minds who look at a situation in a fresh prospective…..minds that are not corrupted…….minds that does not think about increasing their wealth but multiplying the wealth of the nation….

POLITICS AS A CAREER

Instead of waiting for some magic to occur and change our corrupt leaders, why can’t we the youngsters step in to politics and bring the much needed change??? We are more innovative, patriotic, creative than they are……we should come forward to take politics as a full time career like engineering, medicine etc….political science should become a promising field like medicine and engineering……political science should be included as a curriculum in school to increase the interests of school children…..buy this, Politics will become a competitive field and an entrance exam can be held to allow entry in to politics……….

We can not teach an old dog a new trick…..like that we can not expect our politicians to change as Mahatmas…..so, young minds of India, let us all come forward to take politics as our career and use our youth energy to bring up our nation……let us make a new India together………..Jaihind
